Sackville & Mount Allison are evolving
They say that Sackville "never changes." But it does. In fact, even the name has changed. Sackville is now officially referred to as Tantramar, thanks to the NB Local Governance Reform Act of 2021. Here are a few stories that may be of interest to alumni about changes to Sackville and Mount Allison University:
MTA Library Renovations
The Ralph Pickard Bell library is starting an $85m renovation, which will be a five-year project intended to be completed in 2029.
Fire at Joey's Pizza
April 2023 - Sadly, Joey's had a fire and is now gone. Luckily, nobody was hurt in the blaze. We miss those garlic fingers!
Tearing Down the University Centre
This building, which formerly housed the Memorial Library, SAC, Argosy, CHMA, Pub, and mailrooms was torn down in 2011.
